Dede Montgomery + Joseph Haeger: Memoirs and Memories
Authors Dede Mongomery and Joseph Edwin Haeger will be sharing their personal memoirs in a dual reading!
Dede Montgomery is a six-generation Oregonian whose family ties have instielled in her a deep connection to the land curiosity about life in early Oregon. Montgomery's relatives arrived to Oregon with the Jason Lee Missionaries and founded Willamette University and Salem. Another relative, J. K. Gill, opened up J. K. Gill Company that specialized in books and school supplies; and Montgomery's father, Dick Montgomery, was known as the Titan of the Willamette River. In her book, MY MUSIC MAN, Dede explores forgiveness, courage, gratitude, and a father's love.
In LEARN TO SWIM, Joseph Edwin Haeger illustrates the genesis and evolution of fraternity. Haeger paints a vivid portrait of ten years in the lives of two close friends, exposing the intimacy of everyday events we all experience. These unremarkable moments are made remarkable by the people we share them with, and Haeger proves this to the very last page. Check out more of his writing at josephedwinhaeger.blogspot.com.
